  • As a substitute teacher at Espoo International School I have been teaching all grades from 1 to 9 (ages 6 to 15) in any subject required, including, but not limited to: History, Business studies, English, French, Physical Education and Finnish. In this international environment I have been able to work with children and staff of varied backgrounds, which has certainly enriched my work experience. Pressure handling, creative problem solving, and flexibility in the face of constant change are skills that I have most notably developed further in this job role and continue to do so each day I am at work.

For one month I substituted as head of the bread department which meant that I was in charge of dealing with customer queries, placing all orders and reclaims, as well as shelving the products by myself. I also worked in the café where my job entailed, among other things: customer service, working the cash register, and I was ultimately responsible for coordinating and maintaining the overall functioning of the café myself.
