Dr. Morris Brown, Ohio, was born in 1948 in Anniston, Alabama. He rose from humble beginnings to become a prominent physician and advocate for the underserved. After graduating from Meharry Medical School, he served in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps, honing his skills and developing a keen interest in healthcare disparities. He later established a medical practice in Dayton, Ohio, dedicated to serving marginalized communities, growing it to over 10,000 patients. Retiring in 2018, Dr. Brown shifted his focus to criminal justice reform, founding a nonprofit that provides alternatives to incarceration for nonviolent offenders. He has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including the Commander's Award for Healthcare. he remains active in community service and public health advocacy, continually promoting equity and justice in healthcare and beyond.
